Biography

Dr. Sherry Helgoe is licensed as both a marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and a professional clinical counselor (LPCC), with a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from California Southern University. She has been teaching for Pepperdine’s Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy program at the Irvine campus since 2007.

Sherry currently maintains a clinical practice in Yorba Linda, California, where she focuses on adults and couples/marriage counseling. Her therapeutic approach integrates Positive Psychology and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy with traditionally taught theories in psychology. Lastly, she is a CAMFT-certified supervisor and has extensive experience in the supervision of associates gaining hours toward licensure since 2004.
