Biography
Dr. Sean Ferri works full time as a registered psychological associate and clinic manager at the LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert in Palm Springs, where he counsels individuals, couples, and families. He is a graduate of California Southern University, where he earned his PsyD in clinical psychology. His doctoral research focused on the need for, and ways to expand, LGBTQIA+ competency in school-based mental health programs. Dr. Ferri also possesses a master’s in education from Rutgers University. Prior to his work as a therapist, Dr. Ferri was a teacher of psychology at a high school and community college in New Jersey. It was during his time as a public school educator that sparked his passion for addressing mental health issues and disparities within underserved communities.
