Biography

Michelle Jani has been a licensed as a marriage and family therapist since 2007. However, she has been in the field of psychology and mental health since about 1998, and received her master’s in clinical psychology from San Jose State University. She is certified in several evidence-based practices, as well as in EMDR. Since becoming licensed, she has also spent several years serving as a clinical supervisor to marriage and family therapist trainees and associates. Currently, she teaches at four major universities in their marriage and family therapy programs, serve as a clinical supervisor at a school-based agency, owns a small private practice, and conducts therapy and clinical supervision at an outpatient substance abuse and mental health clinic. On a personal level, she has lived and worked both in northern California and Southern California. She currently resides with her family in Orange County. In her leisure time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, snow sports, and working out.
