Biography

Maxine Marks has been a highly regarded clinician in the field of addiction for over a decade. Having specialized in the treatment of addictive and compulsive disorders, Marks has worked in some of the most well-known addiction treatment centers in Los Angeles. While working with both the dual diagnosis community as well as with those reentering society after decades of incarceration, she quickly earned her reputation as a fierce client advocate. Marks comes to our program with extensive experience in child development, relationships, a passion for interpersonal neurobiology, and the healing of trauma. She is a California state certified-child sexual assault advocate, and gives care and voice to silenced victims. Maxine is certified by the California Council of Problem Gambling/UCLA to provide treatment for pathological gamblers and their families. She is also a trained and experienced EMDR therapist. Her hard-earned insight and empathy provide a tremendous sense of hope and comfort to our clients.
