Biography
Kathleen Horsey is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College with an emphasis on African American Family Studies and bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Special Education from San Francisco State University. Over the last 4 years, Kathleen has worked as a School Based Mental Health Clinician in a non-public school, serving students with Autism and behavioral challenges. Currently, Kathleen works as a clinician at Three Rivers Counseling in northern California. She has experience working with the Sacramento County Department of Children and Family Services as a social worker, where she was a part of the emergency response team. In this role Kathleen was responsible for assessing family crisis situations and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure child safety. Kathleen’s training focuses on child and adolescent trauma nationally and internationally, and implementing Trauma Informed Care teams in schools globally. She has served on outreach teams working with survivors of trafficking, as well as provided clinical support to women and children living in a home for survivors of domestic violence.
