Biography

Dr. Karli Johonnot obtained her bachelor’s and first master’s degree from Duke University and her second master’s and PsyD from the University of Hartford. She currently provides clinical and assessment services to children, adolescents, couples, and families and has experience providing a variety of treatment modalities, including DBT, TF-CBT, FFT, and PCIT. Dr. Johonnot also serves as the director of a therapeutic coaching program which provides a type of wraparound service to aide clients in the community. Dr. Johonnot has extensive clinical and research experience related to trauma-informed care and has participated in research regarding autonomic functioning and trauma, the Polyvagal Theory, and attachment. Another area of Dr. Johonnot’s expertise includes working with those who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community and teaching about sexuality, gender, and diversity.
