Biography

Karla Zabala-Snow received her master’s degree in teaching from the University of Georgia and is a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA). She is currently completing her PhD in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of Georgia under the advisement of Dr. Joel Ringdahl. Her research interests include evaluating the effects that enhanced reinforcement schedules have on preference for low-preferred reinforcers and the utility of modified reinforcement schedules that incorporate low-preferred reinforcers on skill acquisition, schedule thinning procedures after the implementation of functional communication training, and evaluating the impact cultural variables have on behavior, such as variables that affect responding across concurrently available language options, among individuals with autism and related disorders.
