Biography
Areas of Interest and Expertise: Adolescent psychopathology; family systems interventions; spirituality, hope, and meaning
Throughout his career, Dr. Gregory Western has acquired over 15 years of clinical experience. The volume of patients seen early in his career has allowed him a unique understanding of various mental health states and modalities of treatment, and it grew his strong internal work ethic. From structured treatment protocols based in research, treating adolescents and adults at all levels of care—including forensic environments—and being an expert witness for the state of California, he maintained a small practice that gave him a broad understanding of the human condition.
His work and world travel have provided opportunities to understand different cultures which he finds crucial for each clinical case.
As a licensed clinical psychologist, he currently sustains a practice in Anaheim Hills, California, and has been facilitating treatment success for over 15 years. He is a professor of psychopathology and neuroscience, and is a chair/committee member of dissertations. Also, he speaks and volunteers locally with spiritual organizations to alleviate stigma linked to mental health.
