Emily Smith is a Pepperdine University alumna who earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2017. Smith also received her undergraduate degree and a certificate from the Law School from Pepperdine. She is truly excited to continue providing to the Pepperdine Community. Smith has worked primarily with transitional-aged youth, both in community agency and private practice settings, finding a niche in this population. Her approach to therapy is one that is client-focused and process oriented, with room for DBT skills to enhance sessions as needed. Other than working as an adjunct professor for Pepperdine University, Smith currently sees primarily college-aged students in the Santa Barbara area through Mindpath Health.
