Biography

Christopher Hunt’s expertise is in the diagnosis, treatment, and research of anxiety, and related disorders. He obtained his PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Minnesota twin cities and completed my predoctoral internship at the Michael E. Debakey Medical Center in Houston, Texas. He has a current postdoctoral clinical research fellow at the center of excellence in stress and mental health at VA San Diego and the UCSD Department of Psychiatry. His current research focuses on identifying threat learning abnormalities in anxiety disorders and PTSD and determining their relationship to CBT treatment response. He also sees veterans with PTSD and comorbid insomnia at the VA San Diego tele-mental health clinic.
