Biography

Dr. Sanchez is a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in the treatment of anxiety and trauma-related disorders. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and a PsyD. in Psychology from California Southern University. Her doctoral project focused on the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder in women using integrative methods. 

Dr. Sanchez has worked in a variety of settings including; low-cost community clinics, nonprofit, and private practice. She has a special connection to helping others work through anxiety, self-blame, perfectionism, guilt, grief, stress, interpersonal struggles, self-doubt, trauma, and relationship and self-esteem issues. Dr. Sanchez has training in narrative therapy, feminist therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and EMDR. 

Dr. Sanchez currently serves as the Assistant Director of Pepperdine’s Online Master’s in Clinical Psychology program. She has taught various courses including interpersonal skills and group therapy, practicum, and theories of counseling and psychotherapy.
