Biography
Dr. Goali Saedi Bocci is a licensed clinical psychologist who earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Notre Dame. This was followed by an APA-accredited clinical internship at the University of California, Berkeley, Counseling and Psychological Services Center. Her postdoctoral fellowship was completed at Stanford University, where she specialized in the Mental Health Promotion and Risk Reduction track at CAPS.
Dr. Bocci holds licenses in both California (CA PSY 30930) and Oregon (OR PSY 2341) as a clinician in private practice and is the published author of several books and clinical resources, including The Digital Detox Deck: 56 Practices to Help You Detox, De-Stress, Distract, and Discover! (PESI, 2019), The Social Media Workbook for Teens: Skills to Help You Balance Screen Time, Manage Stress, and Take Charge of Your Life (New Harbinger, 2019), and PhDiva: The Smart Girl’s Guide to Graduate School Success (Corby, 2015). She is currently writing two more clinical workbooks, one focusing on teens and positive psychology and the other focusing on millennial mental health.
In addition to her academic writing, Dr. Bocci has been a columnist with Psychology Today for nearly a decade, garnering close to 2.5 million reads worldwide. As a result of this work, she has been featured in numerous media outlets, including Time, Newsweek, ABC News, Chicago Tribune, Refinery29, Bustle, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Medium, and Discovery Fit & Health, as well as on AM Northwest Morning Show and Good Morning San Diego. Dr. Bocci has also been a TEDx speaker for Henry M. Gunn High School in Palo Alto, California.
