Dr. Jessica Reina is a licensed psychologist in the State of California. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Northridge. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) with an emphasis in family psychology from APA-accredited Azusa Pacific University. Her dissertation was a clinical application whereby she created a group therapy manual for pregnant adolescents incorporating mindfulness. Her training experiences include working with children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient setting with a variety of mental health diagnoses (i.e., anxiety, depression, trauma); working at a residential treatment facility for adolescents; training and working with child abuse and trauma; completing psychological assessments using the therapeutic collaborative assessment model; and received specialized training in forensic assessment of sexual knowledge in children. Currently Dr. Reina works at Child and Family Guidance Center as a licensed clinical psychologist and as the psychodiagnostic coordinator. She provides therapeutic services (individual, group, family, and parenting) and psychological assessment, oversees and supervises the trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF CBT) evidence-based practice program, and supervises externs and interns in psychological assessment and clinical work. She is trained in the following EBPs: TF CBT, seeking safety, and positive parenting program. Additionally she has a private practice where she sees clients for a variety of clinical issues.
