Biography

Yas Djadali Hardaway is a national certified counselor and a certified career counselor. She has worked in the career development field since 1999, across multiple universities in the United States and transnationally. Hardaway current serves as the executive director of career services at Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology, where she also teaches as a course mentor and adjunct faculty in the psychology division. She received her master of science and education specialist degrees in counseling from Florida State University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Kentucky. At the University of California, Irvine and Loyola Marymount University, Hardaway developed a strong reputation for team development, interdepartmental collaboration, and career counseling leadership. She has created and taught several university career development courses and seminars at the undergraduate and graduate level. Hardaway is published and has presented at international conferences on intercultural career development topics and the application of career development theory to practice. From 2007-2008, she initiated and launched a career development program for a transnational shipboard university of 50 nations, traveling to 17 countries around the world. As founder of Insight Careers, Hardaway provides virtual career coaching for individuals across industries and life stages.
