Biography

Dr. Maria Stevenson earned her PhD in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis under the advisement of Patrick M. Ghezzi, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA, in 2015. She has been a board certified behavior analyst since 2003 and is a licensed behavior analyst in Nevada. Dr. Stevenson has worked with individuals with autism, developmental delays, and other disabilities during her 17-year career as a behavior scientist. She has studied functional behavior assessments, behavior acquisition, behavior reduction, and stereotypical behaviors. Her current research interests include improving imitation skills, improving activities of daily living, increasing the ability of individuals to tolerate medical procedures, and understanding the functions of stereotypical behaviors.
