Biography

Dr. Jacqueline Atkins is a licensed clinical psychologist who earned her PhD in Clinical/Community Psychology from the University of South Carolina. She is currently the vice president of Strengthening Families Programs at Children’s Institute (CII). In her current role, she oversees all of CII’s Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) contracts; several mental health programs; as well as the UCLA third-year practicum placement, APA accredited training program, and postdoctoral fellowship.

Her primary interests include program evaluation, diversity issues, and data-informed practice. Dr. Atkins has presented at several conferences and professional meetings across the country. She maintains a strong interest in research, and as head of Children’s Institute’s Institutional Review Board (IRB), she reviews, monitors, and approves all research involving human subjects at the organization.
