Biography

Ivania Delgado has 15 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups in both public and private sectors in Miami-Dade County providing mental health services. Ivania’s most recent clinical experience includes working with foster-care youth who were negatively impacted by commercial sexual exploitation and human trafficking. Currently, Ivania is a professor of undergraduate and graduate social work and psychology courses. She has over 14 years of teaching experience in higher education. Ivania’s practice is grounded in social justice, collaboration, and compassion. Ivania is a mother, partner, hija, and community member who stands shoulder to shoulder with the people that she serves in the name of liberation.
