Biography
Ahndrea Weiner is a licensed marriage and family therapist and licensed professional clinical counselor with a masters of science in educational psychology. She is currently a clinical director at LifeStance Health, Inc., where she oversees and manages clinicians, carries a clinical private practice caseload and helps spearhead the national training, education and development initiative. She has been a professor of psychology at Pepperdine University in the Graduate School of Education Psychology since 2014 and has taught in the Drug and Alcohol Studies Program at UCLA . Weiner’ s industry expertise in the field of substance use disorders has facilitated a long history of leadership in evidence-based treatment services has provided her opportunities as a clinical supervisor on numerous nationally recognized sponsored NIDA/SAMHSA/CSAT research studies. Her wealth of knowledge in evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing and the matrix model has taken her around the world providing training to individuals and organizations. Among her other accomplishments, she has authored book chapters and journal articles in the field of addiction, co-created the AAMFT Substance Use Disorders Online Certification Program, designed the curriculum and content for the Individual and Family Treatment of Substance Abuse class for Pepperdine’s online graduate studies program and was featured in the HBO 14-part documentary series, Addiction. She continues to be dedicated to the field of substance abuse by contributing her time as a board member to the Alcohol and Drug Studies Program at UCLA.
