Biography

Dr. Wetter is a licensed clinical psychologist, a diplomate and fellow of the American Psychotherapy Association, and has served as an oral examination commissioner and subject matter expert for the California State Licensing Board of Psychology. He is an active member of the American Psychological Association, American Academy of Psychologists, the National Alliance of Psychology Providers, and the California Psychological Association.

In addition to his work as a private practitioner, Dr. Wetter has served as a clinical and administrative leader in a number of nationally renowned health care systems, including Kaiser Permanente and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He has taught undergraduate, graduate, and extension courses at academic institutions such as the University of California and California State University.

Dr. Wetter is also an award winning author, and an invited speaker and guest lecturer, training other psychologists, physicians, and mental health professionals. Dr. Wetter has served as a behavioral and mental health expert on numerous television and radio programs. Additionally, he has served as an expert consultant to publications such as the Washington Post, the Boston Globe, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Men’s Health, Forbes, Prevention, and Redbook Magazines. Dr. Wetter’s research in the area of intergenerational anxiety transmission has been accepted in the United States Memorial Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C.

In addition to his work and professional commitments, Dr. Wetter is an avid cinema and film enthusiast. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and exploring creative endeavors in film and video.
