Biography

Heather Gibbs is a licensed marriage and family therapist who has worked in community mental health for a number of years. She has held multiple positions within the field—from case manager to her current position as assistant director and clinical supervisor.

As an alumnus of Pepperdine University, Heather is passionate about the GSEP program believes fully in the University’s mission. She is a dedicated clinician who has found her niche in supporting the mental health field’s developing professionals—through teaching, case consultation, management, and clinical supervision.

Populations of interest include severe and persistent mental health issues, chronic homelessness, and dual-diagnosed individuals. Heather is also trained in a number of evidenced-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and is LPS-designated by LA County to write psychiatric holds.
